Hi, I'm Zak, the founder of Soma Sleep.
For years, I faced the relentless struggle of chronic poor sleep, trying countless methods to find relief. It wasn't until I had a child that I really began to look at light and how it affected my sleep. Children are never good for my sleep but being required to be up at all hours of the night with harsh white lights at 3am was just not helping the situation.
The true breakthrough came when I realised light was the key. When I adjusted my house to have only amber and red lights, things really changed. Coupled with the benefit of sunlight in my eyes first thing in the morning, I realised that a healthy light environment is fundamental to stabilising circadian rhythm, not just for us but our child as well.
